Big differences exist between a broker and an Investment Adviser Representative (IAR). The Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) is considered to be one of the most respected designations of insurance expertise. Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®)

Advisers who have obtained this credential have received in-depth knowledge of the key financial planning disciplines, including insurance, investments, income taxation, retirement planning, and estate planning. The ChFC® is considered the highest standard of knowledge and trust in financial planning.
Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®)
This designation recognizes estate planning professionals who meet special requirements of education, experience, knowledge, professional reputation, and character. As an AEP®, Mike has specialized knowledge of the inner workings of estate planning.
Chartered Adviser for Senior Living (CASL®)
This rigorous credential in the senior and retirement planning space provides knowledge on wealth accumulation, income distribution, and estate planning strategies for those who are preparing for or are in retirement. This designation helps advisers assist clients in making critical retirement decisions, including when to claim Social Security, how to take pension distributions, choosing annuities, and more.
